Oh yes! God cares about our words and whether we are using them to build up or tear down. The underlying temptation to gossip is never to show love, either towards the person being talked about or the person receiving the gossip. And it shows we have not realized God’s deep love for us that would cause us to want to do for others what He has done for us – cover a multitude of sin with His loving grace and mercy.
