I’ve had four novels published to date and am working on the sequels to that fourth one. These are Christian-themed novels full of mystery, adventure, danger, love, and grace. Have my sales been stellar? Am I on the NY Times best-seller list? No, not now. But I hear God saying, “In my time, and all will be well.”
I continue to write because I feel to do anything else is to fail to obey Him and His expectations of me. I’m walking to the Temple, and the shadows will not stop me. I’m trusting in His promise.

Thank you so much for your insight and transparency! Your struggle is the same as so many men and women out there, who know what God wants them to do in order to bring forth victory, but have strongholds that are hard to conquer. Thank God that, by the power of the Holy Spirit, you can do ALL things in Christ’s strength! Have you ever read Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst? This is a wonderful must read. This was what I needed to read this morning. I tried to take the time all morning to read it. I left it up on my computer but kept doing other things. I finally took the time to pray, read the scripture from my Bible and then your commentary. I wrote in my journal and pray some more!
For years I have struggled with over eating and now being very obese. My husband is a pastor and we have been without a church for all most a year. I have been so convicted of my need to overcome this battle in my life before the next church. The conviction has been so great but I don’t get past a few meals and then failure. The guilt is overwhelming. But through these scriptures and your words God has pointed out that I need to lay it down and simply obey. He has shown me ways to do it but I have to obey, put it behind me and focus on Him. I just need to simply obey. So I begin to today… I pray for the blessing of weight loss, health, better view of self, a new church and church family. But right now I will trust and obey. Thank you again. I apologize for the length.
