In reply to Virginia. I think many of us immigrants do appreciate the country in a different way, because we realize how blessed America is among the nations. But thankfully, there are so many Americans that realize that too. We all have to stand up as one (immigrants or not) and pray for healing and restoration! "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14. A great call to join you in prayer for our country, that it return to God as He promises that if we do so, He will return to Him. Our duty is to seek His face, embracing His principles detailed in His Word, walking as Jesus walked, knowing that if we who call ourselves Christians would do our duty, God wii bring the results this country so desperately needs. I loved this article! I’ve always said that DC is so inspirational. I too am an immigrant but unfortunately we appreciate the goodness of this country so much more than the natural born citizens that are so intent on tearing it down!

My prayer is that our country’s progress remains a God thing, but I must admit, I’m concerned. Reading about all the references on the monuments is a shot of encouragement and a powerful reminder.
