Not that I relish that your son had to take a couple detours before coming into his own, but my son is still trying to find his “niche” in life. Business Marketing in your traditional college wasn’t for him and he’s trying to find what is. Sometimes I think he needs the service as well. So, like you I suggest and then I sit back and pray…I pray hard. I know God has a good and perfect plan for Him. I guess I’m the one anxious for Him to reveal it lol. Thanks for sharing and encouraging this mother’s heart.

Oh, the plans I have made for myself and others. The plans I thought were perfect. What a treasure your post is this morning as I wonder what happened. My plans never came to fruition, but boy did God have better plans. I can see that, yet I can’t quite let go of a few plans I had. Now I will.

What great advice for all of us, but especially for those with kids going off the college soon or just launching out into the world. Our plans for our kids are not always God’s, but He is faithful and we can trust that His plans are the best. Thanks for sharing and for hosting.

Oh, wow, Christy, your son’s story sounds so much like that of my own son, though he has yet to reach his dream goal. Boy, has he made some poor decisions along the way, but has finally straightened up and wants to fly right. I pray every day for him, and that he will return to the Lord who loves him beyond measure.

Boy can I relate to this. But if we say we trust God even with our children, we have to trust him…that’s it. Everything won’t be perfect and in the young man as he sees God working in his life – what more could a parent ask for.
