Alison,
How true that when we really let what He did for us sink in, how can we not respond with worship. Like you beautifully pointed out, worship can be in everything we do – letting it be a praise offering to our Lord.
Blessings,
Bev xx
Alison, I love your sensitivity to the nature of worship and the reality of your own role in “leading” it. We can no more make worship happen than we can announce a revival and then expect the Holy Spirit to show up on schedule.
However, there is a role for leadership in setting the example and in providing the opportunity, and I appreciate your description of that here!
Hi, Alison! My husband and I run the worship ministry at our church. I love what you said here. My husband has a phrase he says often, “more than a song.” Nice to meet you!
Our attitudes can definitely change when we have this proper perspective of everything being an opportunity for worship.
“This means that EVERY action you take in your day to day activities should be filtered through the grid of “How can I glorify Jesus in this?” Beautiful! Thanks, Alison.
I’m glad worship is more than singing, since that is not my strong suit! I never thought of myself as a worship leader. Great thoughts!
