I have always loved this story. Everything about this woman’s culture and experience told her that she would not be welcomed by Jesus. She went anyway and found the grace that she desperately needed. He didn’t rebuke her or turn her away. She poured out her love and repentance. So beautiful!

Patricia, you gave me a new thought on what we bring. I looked at the contents of my alabaster box as something precious that I didn’t want to lose, like my health, my children, my financial security. You’ve challenged me to see giving the junk can also be worship. That makes sense because then He turns it into something beautiful.

Hi, Susan…
Oh! To love Him more… I do want to love Him more too.
The answer to that is in your own words. In order to love Him more, we must know Him more. And we know Him more by spending more time with Him in His Word and prayer… I want to do that more too!

Thank you so much, Karen. I think most of us can relate to the things we poured down on Jesus’ feet when we surrendered our lives to Him… I think because I was already 25 and with a lot of baggage, I can totally relate to Mary M.

This is so good. In your words, I could picture the whole scene. I KNOW I don’t love Him enough, in the way He deserves. And, sometimes, I’ve questioned how he could love me. I just want to know Him better and love Him more.
