I knew better than to speak. Anyone could see by the expression on my face that I wasn’t ok. My people always know when a cloud descends upon my spirit. It simply wasn’t a good day. The day turned into a week of gloom. I had a hard time opening my Bible, and, when I did, the words sounded like a mantra, rather than true comfort.
